Request New Cheque Book (R11)

Introduction

This screen lets the retail user to submit a cheque book request. User can select the account name for which he or she intends to get a cheque book along with the number of leaves in a cheque book. Address is default populated of the customer, however, user can change this details. This request is sent to Relationship manager for further processing.

Note:

Whenever a service request is initiated for cheque book, in a joint account, by one of the account holders, request will have to be approved by other holders of the account. If the mode of operation is Either or Survivor no approval is required.

Navigation

The following is the navigation for this option:

  • Click the Operative Accounts – Request New Cheque Book  hyperlink in the New Requests  screen.

OR

  •  Select Request Cheque book option for More Actions in View Operative accounts screen and click on OK button(Under Balance & Transaction Information < Operative Accounts)

  • The Request New Cheque Book  screen is displayed.

What you can do

The table below provides a brief description of the data that must be specified on the screen and the functions you can perform:

 

Field

Description

Account

Select the account name from the drop-down list for which the cheque book has to be issued.

Note:

This list will display all the operative accounts of the user.

Addressee Name

Specify the name of the addressee for the cheques.

Address

Specify the address.

Note:

This is default populated, user can change this if required.

Number of Cheques

Select the number of leaves in the required cheque book from the drop-down list.

Transaction Remarks

Remarks about the cheque book request, if any.

Note:

There is a placeholder available in the screen for displaying information such as “INR xx  is the service charge. If you want this amount to be deducted from an alternate account”.

Debit Service Charge Account

Select the debit account id for service charge.

Note:

If user does not select debit service charge account id from the drop-down list then, his/her primary account would be considered for the same purpose.

Submit to Relationship Manager

Submit the cheque book request form to relationship manager for processing.

Note:

Clicking on this button will take the users to a screen where the above entered details are shown for confirmation and also user is prompted to enter the authorization details. Authorization details will be prompted only if the service request is authorization enabled.
