Introduction

This section includes details of the counter party or the beneficiary, to whom the LC needs to be issued and the Bank through which the LC would be advised.

• Click Parties in the Initiate LC Issuance Request  screen.

• The Parties screen is displayed.

What you can do

The table below provides a brief description of the data that should be entered on the screen and the functions that can be  performed:

BENEFICIARY DETAILS

Beneficiary Name

Enter the name of the exporter to whom the LC is being advised or select the beneficiary using the LookUp.

Note:

This is a mandatory field.

BENEFICIARY ADDRESS

Note:

• The address details of the beneficiary will be defaulted in the below fields.

• Fields from City &Zip to Country are display fields.

Address (Line 1-3)

Optional

Alphanumeric/80 each

The address of the beneficiary or exporter is populated here.

Note:

Address Line 1 is mandatory while other address fields are optional.

City & Zip

Mandatory

Alphanumeric/50 & 9 respectively

The City and Zip code part of the applicant’s address are displayed in these fields.

State

Mandatory

Alphanumeric/5

The State part of the applicant’s address is displayed in this field.

Country

Mandatory

Drop-down

The Country of the corporate requesting LC is displayed.

ADVISING BANK DETAILS

Advising Bank or Advice Through Bank Name

Optional

Alphanumeric/ 80

Enter or select the beneficiary’s bank or the bank indicated by the beneficiary as preferred.

The next few fields are populated based on the bank selected in this field.

Enter the branch of the advising bank.

Bank Address (Line 1-3)

Enter the address details of the advising bank.
